Getting started

Live Chat is a chat widget you embed on your own website. Conversations started through it land in the same Inbox as WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, and SMS — one queue, regardless of channel.

Add the channel

1. Go to Settings → Channels → Add Channel.
2. Select Live Chat.
3. Fill in the initial fields:

   Field	Required	Description
   Name	Yes	An internal label for this channel — for example “Website support”. Not shown to visitors.
   Primary color	No	The widget’s accent color. Defaults to pink.
   Websites	No	An optional domain whitelist — leave empty to allow the widget anywhere it’s embedded, or restrict it to specific domains.

Install the widget

Open the Installation tab to get your embed script, tied to this channel’s widget ID. Platform-specific guides are available for:

• Plain HTML/JS (Code)
• Webflow
• WordPress
• Framer
• Wix
• Squarespace

What Live Chat is good for

• Customer support and FAQ handling directly on your site.
• Lead capture from visitors who wouldn’t otherwise message you on WhatsApp or Instagram.
• Automations using Live Chat triggers and actions.
• AI Employee assignment for 24/7 first-response coverage.

Unlike WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram, Live Chat has no Meta-imposed reply window — see Conversation window — so conversations stay freely messageable without needing a template to reopen them.
