Every teammate you invite gets one of three roles. Each role builds on the one below it — a Manager has everything a Member has, and an Admin has everything a Manager has, plus more.
Member
Members have the permissions they need to work with contacts and handle conversations assigned to them. They can:
- View and manage contacts
- Access their assigned chats in the Unified Inbox
This is a good option for teammates who primarily need to respond to and manage the conversations assigned to them.
Manager
Managers have everything a Member has, plus more tools for managing conversations and the workspace. They can:
- Access all chats in the Unified Inbox
- Export contacts
- Create and manage campaigns
- Create and manage automations
- Create and update WhatsApp templates
- Create and update Quick Replies
- Create and update Labels and Attributes
- Create and manage Team Inboxes
- Create and manage Views
Choose Manager for someone who needs to oversee conversations or manage Heyy’s communication tools.
Admin
Admins have the highest level of access. They have all Manager permissions, plus control over workspace settings and administration, including:
- AI Employees
- General workspace settings
- Working hours
- Team management
- Channels
- Deleting resources
- API keys
- Webhooks
- Billing
- Usage
Choose Admin for people who need to manage the workspace itself, not just conversations and communication tools.
Quick rule: if someone only needs to handle their own conversations, choose Member. If they need to manage conversations and communication tools across the workspace, choose Manager. If they need to manage the workspace, settings, team, integrations, or billing, choose Admin.
