# Campaigns tour

> Overview of campaigns in Heyy and how to create one.

**Campaigns** send a message to many [contacts](/help/contacts/the-contact/what-is-a-contact) at once—outbound outreach on a channel (for example WhatsApp), separate from one-to-one [Inbox](/help/inbox/inbox-tour) conversations.

## Where to work

Open [**Campaigns**](https://app.heyy.io/campaigns) in your workspace to see existing campaigns, create new ones, and open **executions** after you send.

## Typical flow

1. **Create a campaign** — Name it and choose the [channel](/help/messaging-channels/whatsapp/getting-started).
2. **[Audience & recipients](/help/campaigns-and-outreach/build/audience-and-recipients)** — Who receives the message (segments from your contact base).
3. **[Message & templates](/help/campaigns-and-outreach/build/message-and-templates)** — What you send (templates on WhatsApp, channel rules).
4. **[Start & monitor](/help/campaigns-and-outreach/run/start-and-monitor)** — Launch and track delivery on the execution page.

Campaigns use the same contact records as Inbox, automations, and journeys. Recipients are always contacts—not anonymous chat threads.
